Hey everybody. I started out a little different with this one. I didn't get down to sketching first. I started with the pencils to make a standard face. The purpose was to have her have different hairstyles so could practice. When I did the hair I thought why not finish the rest so I did. I gave her a torso, made her do something funny with her hand and added a background and that's pretty much it. Enjoy!

Hey guys! This one on the left is something new I wanted to do. I wanted to draw a figure on a background. I've mostly seen this technique in a lot of manga's (Japanese word voor comics) and I wanted to give it a try. I began with a sketch to get the pose right. Then I did something I didn't know I could do...I got straight down to inking!
Suprisingly on the first try I did OK so I went with it. I looked for a beachy backround and pasted it on the back. It fitted perfectly, the only thing was the fact that she was transparent, What!?! So I put up another layer and coloured it white, I erased the overlapping white strokes along the outlines and there she was again.
The last layer I did was the shadow layer. The cool thing in doing this is when I wanted to draw the shadow of her legs above the water I kinda went further and intentionally drew the silhouette of her lower legs. This gave it a look as if it was really submerged. I decided it was finished and posted it. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! The picture on the right is one of the first illustrations I've done with the pc. I used an ad from a magazine to trace the outlines of the models....that's it. This was the first layer. The rest I did myself. I used this current layer to position the eyes and mouth of the girls. The second layer was again a sketch, only I put more detail in the hair, eyes and the mouth.
The third layer is the inking layer where, you can really see it coming together. The fourth layer was the shadow layer. The last layer, I used to give the clothing a pattern.
Then you have to decide when enough is enough....this was enough. This is my end product and I'm stickin with it. Enjoy!
